I don't write this just to taunt you...

It should also help you with your holiday wish list. ^_^

I'm currently playing a dorm with 49 students and two cafeteria workers (although only two of the students are playables right now). I am actually running this in a window in the background. The game uses around 15% of my processor when running at default speed, around 23% when running at triple speed. I'm running with maximum detail and there is a slight lag when I scroll rapidly, but otherwise not. This dorm has big suites for all students and lots of free common areas, most of which are not in use. I wonder if I should try making a dorm with tiny cells so I could cram in 150 students just to see what happens... Oh, and the game loads in seconds.

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz, 3.25 GB RAM. NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT video card (although the video card mostly determines how much detail you can get).

The whole thing, with a terabyte of disk for good measure, set me back less than $2000 including the dreaded 25% Scandinavian sales tax and an extra fee for WinXP instead of Vista.
